Applicants should demonstrate the ability to work independently with genetic association studies (GWAS) and possess expertise in relevant software, such as PLINK. Proficiency in bioinformatics/statistical programming (R, Python, MATLAB), excellent communication skills in English, and strong analytical and initiative skills are essential. The position is open to candidates who have completed their PhD degree no more than three (3) years before the application deadline.
Job Description:
Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Neurodegenerative Disease Genetics
The Postdoctoral Fellow will conduct high-dimensional data analysis from cohorts of healthy control subjects and patients with neurodegenerative diseases, primarily Alzheimer’s disease. The project involves integrative omics analyses, combining genetic data with proteomics, metabolomics, and quantitative neuropathology. Responsibilities include genetic/statistical analyses, scientific article writing, and presenting results at national and international conferences. Collaboration within the research group is integral, and additional tasks may become relevant.
