Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in computer science, bioinformatics, data science, or similar disciplines focusing on machine learning or natural language processing, obtained within the last 5 years of the appointment start date.
- Strong programming skills in Python, familiar with libraries such as PyTorch/TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, and LangChain.
- Experience with Large Language Models and cloud computing platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations and ethical considerations for medical AI.
- Track record of research impact, including publications and presentations.
- Commitment to cultural safety and humility.
Job Description
The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will:
- Lead the development of clinical language models and AI tools for musculoskeletal care.
- Collaborate with patient and clinician partners to iteratively refine AI models.
- Identify funding sources and assist in grant writing.
- Contribute to weekly team meetings and mentor junior research team members.
- Prepare scientific manuscripts and presentations, along with reports for health system partners.
