Eligibility/Qualification
- Required:
- MD in lupus nephritis or PhD in chemistry, pharmacology, bioengineering, or a related field.
- Substantial experience and strong experimental skills in lipid nanoparticle formulation and kidney-targeted drug delivery.
- Proficiency in nanoparticle characterization and experience with mRNA delivery systems for immunomodulation.
- Preferred:
- Research background in immunology, nephrology, or autoimmune diseases.
- High-quality publications in kidney-targeted drug delivery, lipid nanoparticles, or therapies related to lupus/autoimmune diseases.
- Experience in both in vitro and in vivo experiments with nanomedicine in kidney disease models, especially lupus nephritis or other immune-mediated kidney diseases.
Job Description
The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of experts in chemistry, materials science, nanotechnology, RNA medicine, drug delivery, and biomedical engineering. The research project will focus on engineering lipid-based nanomaterials for therapy in lupus nephritis and studying their interactions within biological systems using advanced characterization tools. The fellow will be expected to solve scientific and practical challenges in the targeted delivery of therapeutics for autoimmune kidney diseases.
Salary
$70,000 – $75,000 USD per year, based on candidate’s experience.
