Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Microbiology: The Norwegian College of Fishery Science (NCFS), part of the Faculty of Biosciences, Fisheries and Economics (BFE), invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position within the Marine Bioprospecting group of the Centre for new antibacterial strategies (CANS-UiT). The position is focused on the expansion and characterization of bacteriophages, investigating host-pathogen interactions, and contributing to the research on viruses of microbes.

Job Description:

Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Microbiology / Bacteriophage Research

The selected candidate will lead efforts in phage isolation, perform imaging/sequencing/genome analysis, conduct functional assays, and contribute to various aspects of the project. The position is for a fixed term of 3 years and is intended to provide qualification for work in top academic positions.
