Eligibility/Qualification

  • Education: PhD in computer science, bioinformatics, data science, or a related field with a focus on machine learning or natural language processing (obtained within the last 5 years).
  • Skills:
  • Proficient in Python programming (experience with PyTorch/TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, and LangChain).
  • Experience with Large Language Models and performance evaluation.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations and ethical considerations in medical AI.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
  • Track Record: Demonstrated knowledge exchange and research impact (publications and presentations).
  • Commitment: Respect for diverse perspectives and a commitment to cultural safety and humility.

Job Description

The successful candidate will lead the development of patient-centered generative AI tools aimed at reducing delays in musculoskeletal diagnostics and enhancing access to care. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing clinical language models and improving AI safety.
  • Conducting domain-specific fine-tuning of models.
  • Collaborating with patient and clinician partners for iterative model tuning.
  • Identifying research funding sources and assisting with grant writing.
  • Preparing scientific manuscripts and contributing to weekly team meetings.
