Postdoctoral Research Fellow – Neurodegenerative Diseases: The University of Queensland is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to work with Dr. Pranesh Padmanabhan at the School of Biomedical Sciences and the Clem Jones Centre for Ageing Dementia Centre. This position focuses on the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying Alzheimer’s disease using neuronal cultures, animal and human tissues, advanced imaging, biochemical techniques, and omics approaches.
Designation: Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Research Area: Neurodegenerative Diseases, with a specific focus on Alzheimer’s disease
Location: St Lucia, Brisbane QLD
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Completion or near completion of a PhD in molecular and cellular biology or related biological discipline
- Evidence of publications in reputed refereed journals
- Experience with cell lines, primary neuronal cultures, and animal experimentation
- Experience in molecular biology and biochemical techniques
- Familiarity with advanced imaging techniques and omics approaches

The successful candidate will conduct and analyze research on Alzheimer’s disease, contribute to quality research outputs, co-supervise and support research students, and demonstrate citizenship aligned with UQ values. This position involves working collaboratively and independently in a multidisciplinary team and requires strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
