Postdoctoral Research Fellow Position: The Tao Lab at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) is seeking a highly motivated individual for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position. This role involves innovative research in developing lipid-based nanomaterials for the treatment of lupus nephritis and studying their interactions within biological systems. Eligibility/Qualification
- MD in lupus nephritis or PhD in chemistry, pharmacology, bioengineering, or a related field.
- Substantial experience in lipid nanoparticle formulation and kidney-targeted drug delivery.
- Strong experimental skills in nanoparticle characterization and mRNA delivery systems for immunomodulation.
- Research background in immunology, nephrology, or autoimmune diseases is preferred.
- High-quality publications in relevant fields and experience in both in vitro and in vivo experiments with nanomedicine in kidney disease models, particularly lupus nephritis or other immune-mediated kidney diseases.
Job Description
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of experts in chemistry, materials science, nanotechnology, RNA medicine, drug delivery, and biomedical engineering.
- Engineer lipid-based nanomaterials specifically for lupus nephritis therapy.
- Study interactions and interfaces of these nanomaterials within biological systems using advanced characterization tools.
- Solve scientific and practical challenges in targeted therapeutic delivery for autoimmune kidney diseases.
