Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Completion or near completion of a PhD in Chemical Science or Chemical Engineering.
  • Knowledge in electrochemical synthesis and energy storage systems.
  • Skills in developing, independently designing, planning, managing, and executing research programs.
  • Expertise in designing and operating electrochemical flow cells.
  • Practical knowledge or skills in scanning electron microscopy (SEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), atomic force microscopy, and in-situ spectroscopy analysis.
  • Evidence of publications in refereed journals, conference presentations, and successful external research funding acquisition.

Job Description:

  • Design and carry out experimental research to develop advanced electrochemical methods for electrolyte synthesis.
  • Apply expertise in chemical sciences and electrochemical synthesis to address challenges related to electrolyte production and flow battery energy storage processes, at both laboratory and pilot scales.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
  • Foster relationships with industry, government departments, professional bodies, and the wider community.
  • Engage in research-focused activities in a collaborative environment.
