Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Position: The University of Edinburgh is offering a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Position in “Reinforcement learning and imitation learning for robot navigation in simulated environments.” This position is part of the Future of Artificial Intelligence Project (FAIR) within Spoke 10: Sustainable Bio-Socio-Cognitive AI. Hosted by the Autonomous Agents Research Group, School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh, the researcher will be jointly supervised by Prof. Stefano V. Albrecht and Prof. Concetto Spampinato.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in AI, machine learning, computer science, or related area.
- Excellent publication track record in leading conferences for AI/ML/robotics research.
- Background and expertise in RL and imitation learning algorithms, robotic systems and navigation challenges, machine and deep learning concepts, and Python and Pytorch algorithm development.
Job Description: The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will contribute to the project through various research activities, including conducting a comprehensive literature review, developing novel algorithms, designing realistic simulated environments, creating evaluation metrics, and defining methods for sim-to-real challenges. The position involves collaboration with engineers and robotics researchers.
