Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD or equivalent in medicinal chemistry, computational chemistry with a specialization in cheminformatics, structure-based drug design, or related field.
  • Genuine interest in AI.
  • Research experience in ligand- or structure-based drug design is required.
  • Basic knowledge of a scripting language is required; experience with RDKit is advantageous.
  • Experience with AI-related research/innovation is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills in written and spoken English.

Job Description:
The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will be engaged in the LEAD AI project, integrating advanced AI methods for De novo design, scoring functions, and docking methods in drug development. Responsibilities include:

  • Validation of AI-based De novo design methods through retrospective and prospective predictions.
  • Application of theoretical and experimental methodologies to structure-based drug design.
  • Collaboration within a highly interdisciplinary team.
  • Development of improved methods based on lessons learned from validation.
