Eligibility/Qualification:
- A good first degree in Chemistry or a closely related subject.
- A PhD (or close to submission) in organic chemistry or a related subject.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will focus on:
- Developing new fluorination reactions using elemental fluorine.
- Working with industrial stakeholders to assess the utility of F2 as an electrophilic fluorinating reagent.
- Exploring substrate activation modes and investigating regio- and stereoselectivity of fluorination reactions.
- Engaging in oral and written communication with both academic and industrial partners.
- Mentoring and training junior group members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and managing research activities independently.
- Publishing high-quality research outputs and presenting findings.
- Collaborating with the Principal Investigator and research colleagues to identify new research opportunities.
