Postdoctoral Research Position – Electrochemistry: An OPEN scholarship postdoc position, spanning 1+1 years, is available for research focused on protein film electrochemistry of multicopper oxidases (MCOs). The project aims to investigate the mechanism of heterogeneous oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) catalyzed by MCOs using protein film voltammetry and surface-enhanced resonance Raman spectroscopy. The successful candidate will contribute to the understanding of electron transfer processes within electrocatalysts and the electrode/catalyst interface at the molecular level.
Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher
Research Area: Molecular Biomimetics, Biophysical and Bioinorganic Chemistry
Location: Sekretareva Group, Molecular Biomimetics, Uppsala University, Sweden
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. degree or international equivalent in Biochemistry, Electrochemistry, Physical Chemistry, or a related field.
- Documented experience in bioelectrochemistry, preferably in protein film electrochemistry.
- Fluency in English for effective scientific communication.
Job Description:
Postdoctoral Research Position – Protein Film Electrochemistry of Multicopper Oxidases
The postdoctoral researcher will be involved in a project investigating the mechanism of heterogeneous ORR catalyzed by multicopper oxidases. This will include the application of protein film voltammetry and surface-enhanced resonance Raman spectroscopy, coupled with mathematical modeling. The candidate is expected to contribute to ongoing research, demonstrate independence, and collaborate effectively within the research group.
How to Apply: Interested candidates should submit their applications via email to alina.sekretareva@kemi.uu.se before the deadline. The application must include a letter of motivation, CV, publication list, copy of the Ph.D. degree certificate, and contact information for three referees.
