Location
The position is based in Lyon at the Lyon Neuroscience Research Center (CRNL), located within the Groupement Hospitalier Lyon Est. The center is closely integrated with clinical departments and advanced neuroimaging facilities, including MRI (3T and upcoming 7T), MEG, and PET.
Eligibility / Qualification
- PhD in Neuroscience or a closely related field
- Strong programming skills (MATLAB, Python, and/or R)
- Ability to work independently and solve complex problems
- Experience in brain stimulation (preferred but not mandatory)
- Proficiency in English (French is an advantage)
Job Description
The selected candidate will work on a cutting-edge research project exploring the neural basis of effort-based decision-making. The project involves:
- Investigating recurrent circuits between fronto-striatal structures and motor cortex
- Applying computational modeling to decision-making behavior
- Using multimodal neuroimaging techniques (MRI, MEG, PET)
- Conducting brain stimulation experiments
- Collaborating with clinical and interdisciplinary research teams
