Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. in a relevant field (or completion expected by the start date)
- Demonstrated expertise in the specific research area of interest
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals
- Proficiency in relevant research methodologies and tools
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Proficiency in Spanish is desirable but not mandatory.
Job Description:
- Gender gaps in engineering: The research involves studying gender biases in STEM with a focus on maintaining and reproducing gaps in Civil Engineering education. Quantitative analysis of administrative data and survey data to evaluate the influences on gender gaps observed in engineering education.
- Autonomous aerospace systems and AI integration for earth care: The research focuses on combining satellite information and UAV data to improve autonomous navigation strategies and data collection for surveillance, disaster response, and forest monitoring leveraging AI techniques based on deep neural networks.
- Intersectional study of care mobility: This research examines trips generated by care activities for the home and family with a gender perspective, considering mobility linked to social and economic disadvantages. Analysis includes socioeconomic stratum and immigration status as influential intersecting variables.
