📝 Job Description:
Position 1 – Synthetic Biology / Bacterial Genetics
- Develop engineered phages to target human microbiome bacteria
- Techniques: DNA ligation, Gibson assembly, plasmid construction, electroporation
Position 2 – Molecular Microbiology
- Study gene regulation in phages
- Techniques: Protein purification, EMSA, functional screens, bioinformatics analysis
Position 3 – Bioinformatics & Protein Modeling
- Build pipelines to analyse metagenomic data
- Tools: HPC, GPU programming, protein language models for structure prediction
All three positions are part of the FAME group, an interdisciplinary collective investigating the microbiome with cutting-edge tools and techniques.
