The University of Florida (UF) Plant Pathology Department is seeking a dedicated Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to a collaborative project aimed at advancing the understanding and sustainable management of bacterial and fungal plant pathogens, as well as plant-parasitic nematodes through the use of soil micropredators.

Job Description
The selected candidate will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team from various institutions, including the University of California-Davis, Penn State, The Connecticut Agricultural Experimental Station, and William Paterson University. The main responsibilities include:
- Designing, coordinating, and conducting research on plant microbiomes.
- Advancing detection and quantification of plant pathogens and nematodes via qPCR.
- Developing sustainable management methods for plant diseases.
- Contributing to lab operations, managing day-to-day tasks, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Writing progress reports and manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals.
