- PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field
- Experience in single-cell transcriptomics and spatial transcriptomics
- Solid understanding of biological statistics
- Experience with long-read sequencing is advantageous
Job Description
The successful candidate will participate in the following activities:
- Analyze scRNA-Seq data to identify cell types, subtypes, and transition trajectories within the normal gut’s spatial organization.
- Develop analytical tools to integrate scRNA-Seq data with histological images and spatial transcriptomics.
- Conduct bioinformatics investigations to understand the pathogenesis and progression of Crohn’s Disease.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team across institutes in Cambridge and Edinburgh.
- Integrate diverse datasets to further the understanding of gut health and Crohn’s Disease.
- Contribute to the Earlham Institute’s computational tools and open workflow analysis pipelines.
