Postdoctoral Research Scientist: An exciting opportunity is available at the Babraham Institute for a Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join Dr Teresa Rayon’s lab. The role focuses on studying molecular mechanisms influencing developmental pace and lifespan, particularly in mammalian pre-implantation development. This two-year position offers a chance to contribute to cutting-edge research in epigenetics and signalling.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in cell biology, biochemistry, or related disciplines.

  • Prior experience in mouse genetics and working with embryos (beneficial).
  • Expertise in high-content imaging and image analysis (valuable).

Job Description:

Postdoctoral Research Scientist (Epigenetics & Signalling)

The successful candidate will:

  • Drive research on molecular and metabolic mechanisms controlling developmental timing.
  • Focus on studying tempo in mammalian pre-implantation development using mouse embryos and stem cell models.
  • Assist in training graduate students and collaborate on lab activities.
  • Benefit from the Institute’s expertise, facilities, and existing collaborations.
  • Conduct quantitative imaging approaches.
  • Help maintain the lab’s high scientific standards.

The starting salary is £36,100 per annum, rising to £43,105 per annum based on experience. Funding for this position is available for two years initially.
