Postdoctoral Research Scientist: The Earlham Institute is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join the Laboratory of Dr. Wilfried Haerty in Norwich, UK. Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in molecular biology, bioinformatics, or related field.
- Experience in generating and analyzing genomic/epigenomic/transcriptomic data.
- Proficiency in preparing transcriptomic or genomic libraries for sequencing.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Perl, or R is desirable.
Job Description: The selected candidate will conduct experimental and computational analyses to elucidate the genomic and transcriptomic mechanisms underlying environmental acclimatization and adaptation. This includes the preparation of ATAC-Seq, RNA-Seq, and DNA-Seq libraries from bulk and single-cell samples, investigating the transcriptomic response of specific cell types to environmental challenges, and exploring the genomic bases of environmental adaptation. The role entails collaboration with internal teams and external collaborators under the supervision of Dr. Wilfried Haerty.
