Eligibility/Qualification:
- A PhD in molecular biology, microbiology, bioengineering, or a related subject.
- Expertise or strong interest in developing synthetic biology tools to engineer rhizobacteria and plant-microbe interaction.
- Knowledge and understanding of synthetic biology approaches.
- Experience in microbiology, molecular biology techniques, and plant microbiome is essential.
Job Description:
The Postdoctoral Research Scientist will be responsible for leading the development of synthetic biology tools for plant-beneficial rhizobacteria, including integrase tools and imaging tools, as well as engineering plant-microbe interactions using integrase switches. The role requires expertise in plant microbiome with experience in molecular biology techniques, or an expertise in synthetic biology in plant or microbe. The post holder will receive training in synthetic biology, microbiology, microscopy, flow-cytometry, and data analysis as required. The ideal candidate will actively contribute to the project, mentor students, and bring their expertise and ideas to the research.
