Research Area

The research focuses on constructing a complete atomic model and conducting large-scale Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulations of the yeast kinetochore-microtubule complex, aiming to unravel the molecular mechanisms of tension-dependent stabilization, phosphoregulation, and force transduction in mitotic cell division.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • A PhD in theoretical/computational physics, molecular biophysics, computational biology, computational chemistry, computer science, or a related area.
  • Relevant postdoctoral or PhD research experience in the specified fields.

Job Description

  • Contribute to constructing the first complete atomic model of the yeast kinetochore-microtubule complex.
  • Conduct large-scale MD simulations.
  • Work collaboratively within a computational biophysics team and engage with international partners.
  • Participate in interactions with collaborators from MRC-LMB, University of Dundee, and other institutions.
