Research Area:
The project involves digital brain atlasing and spatial transcriptomics, particularly focusing on the marmoset thalamocortical circuit and its comparison with rodent models.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD degree in relevant fields (Neuroimaging, Neuroscience, Physics, Computer Science, etc.) acquired within the last 12 years.
  • Peer-reviewed publications in related fields.
  • Experience in neuro- or bioimaging, AI applications in digital image processing.
  • Proficiency in Python and scientific libraries.
  • Strong analytical and software engineering skills.
  • Fluent in English for effective communication and documentation.
  • Experience with interdisciplinary projects (neurobiology, computational neuroanatomy).
  • Knowledge of nervous system anatomy.

Job Description:

  • Improve project methodologies.
  • Integrate connectome and transcriptome datasets.
  • Design and develop functionalities for the marmosetbrain.org portal.
  • Disseminate project results at conferences and through manuscript preparation.
  • Engage in multi-modal atlas creation and AI-based identification of thalamic nuclei.
  • Investigate relationships between gene co-expression and connectivity patterns.
