Postdoctoral Researcher at University of Helsinki: FIMM, as part of the NORPOD program, is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join Anniina Färkkilä’s lab in collaboration with the Kuijjer group at NCMM. This position offers an opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project focused on spatial tumor-immune interactions in ovarian cancer, aiming to identify key transcriptional regulators of chemoresistance.

Postdoctoral Researcher in Spatial Transcriptional Regulation

Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher

Research Area: Spatial Transcriptional Regulation

Location: Helsinki, Finland (with short stays at the University of Oslo, Norway)

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD degree in computational biology, bioinformatics, biostatistics, computer science, or a related field.
  • Strong publication record.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python, MATLAB, Bash.
  • Documented experience with high-throughput omics data analysis.
  • Knowledge in single-cell or spatial transcriptomics, gene regulation, network biology, and/or cancer research.
  • Professional proficiency in English with excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Job Description:

  • Integrate spatial omics data using deep learning-based approaches.
  • Model and analyze gene regulatory networks in tumor cell subpopulations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Färkkilä and Kuijjer Labs to achieve project goals.
