Postdoctoral Researcher, Best4Grid (Electrical Engineering)

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Doctoral degree in Electrical or Energy Engineering
- Ability to conduct high-level scientific research independently
- Excellent analytical, academic writing, and communication skills
- Proven track record of successful empirical research and collaboration in related fields
- Researcher mobility and active participation in international scientific research networks are advantageous
- Fluent written and spoken English skills are mandatory; skills in Nordic languages are a plus
Job Description:
- Conduct project activities within the Best4Grid research team at the University of Vaasa
- Design and develop electricity market models
- Study the short-term and long-term impacts of regulatory changes on electricity market players
- Prepare research proposals for national and international calls
- Publish research results as part of the team
- Perform administrative tasks related to project management
- Collaborate with the University’s multidisciplinary research platforms: Digital Economy, InnoLab, and Vebic
The annual working time is 1612 hours, based on the general collective agreement for universities, with a detailed task description agreed upon in the Annual Work Plan.
