Postdoctoral Researcher – Biodiversity Genomics Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Biodiversity Genomics for the EuroScienceGateway project funded by Horizon Europe. The project, coordinated by Oslo University, aims to leverage European compute infrastructures for data-intensive research following FAIR principles. The successful candidate will join an international team working on innovative solutions for genome annotation in biodiversity genomics using the Galaxy public compute infrastructure.

Eligibility/QualificationPhD in Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or related areas. Strong background in genomics and bioinformatics. Experience in genome assembly, annotation, and Galaxy platform. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python) and Unix environment.
Job DescriptionDevelop and deploy innovative solutions for genome annotation. Collaborate with European Reference Genome Atlas (ERGA), Vertebrate Genomes Project (VGP), and Galaxy community. Integrate annotation tools in Galaxy for data-intensive research.
