Postdoctoral Researcher Bioinformatician: Join our team at the European Research Institute for the Biology of Aging (ERIBA) in Groningen, the Netherlands, to investigate the role of chromosomal instability (CIN) in cancer. We aim to understand how CIN triggers an inflammatory response in cancer cells and promotes immune evasion, with the ultimate goal of developing targeted therapies.
Job Title: Postdoctoral Researcher Bioinformatician
Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher
Research Area: Bioinformatics, Cancer Biology, Genomic Instability, Tumor Immunology
Location: European Research Institute for the Biology of Aging (ERIBA), University Medical Centre Groningen (UMCG), Groningen, the Netherlands
Eligibility/Qualification: PhD in Bioinformatics or relevant field, strong affinity for genomic integrity and tumor immunology analysis, fluency in spoken and written English, high motivation, and strong team spirit.
Job Description: As a postdoctoral researcher, you will investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying the CIN-induced inflammatory response in cancer cells, and its interaction with the immune system, particularly in breast cancer models. You will analyze large datasets including single-cell genomics, transcriptomics, and epigenetics, to identify key players in CIN-induced inflammation and immune evasion. Additionally, you will contribute to the supervision of PhD students and technicians.
How to Apply: Please submit your application including a CV, cover letter, and contact information for references to recruitment@eriba.umcg.nl by June 2, 2024.
