Eligibility / Qualification
- Master’s degree and doctorate (PhD) in biochemistry, bioanalytics, biomedicine, chemical biology, or a related discipline.
- Advantageous: experience with:
- Solid-Phase Peptide Synthesis (SPPS)
- UV/Vis spectroscopy
- HPLC, LC-MS/MS
- Enzymatic assays
- Peptide/protein chemistry or heme biology
- Strong practical experience in peptide analysis is desirable.
Job Description
- Conduct solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) and purify/analyze peptides and proteins.
- Study peptide- and protein-heme/porphyrin interactions.
- Develop and apply in vitro enzymatic assays.
- Supervise bachelor’s and master’s students.
- Present research findings at scientific conferences and in journals.
- Contribute to the DFG project: “Characterisation of the molecular basis of labile heme as a prothrombotic modulator under hemolytic conditions.”
