Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Recent PhD in electronic structure methods and atomic-scale simulations for solid-state materials.
  • Strong expertise in developing or applying machine-learned force fields and other machine learning techniques for materials design applications.
  • High proficiency in Python code development and hands-on experience with data science workflows.
  • Expertise in theoretical catalysis research, particularly with multiscale modeling approaches, is highly desired.
  • Excellent English and communication skills.

Job Description:

As a Postdoctoral Researcher, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Establishing strategic directions for data-driven catalysis research, integrating synthetic or simulated data with experimental results.
  • Applying explainable AI methods along with developing machine-learned force fields for complex materials relevant to heterogeneous catalysis.
  • Creating protocols and infrastructure for systematic data generation to support machine learning solutions.
  • Collaborating with a diverse team of chemists, researchers, and data scientists on innovative quantum chemistry projects.
