Postdoctoral Researcher (Experimental Quantum Optics): Tampere University is seeking a talented postdoctoral researcher to join the Experimental Quantum Optics group, focusing on groundbreaking research in structured matter waves of electrons and ions. Eligibility/Qualification:
- An internationally recognized PhD degree in quantum physics, ideally in atom physics and matter waves (degree must be completed by September 30, 2025, if not already obtained).
- Excellent written and spoken English skills.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Matlab or Python is highly appreciated.
- Expertise in quantum foundations, matter waves, and atom physics is advantageous.
- Willingness to collaborate in an international research group and assist in supervising Bachelor, Master, or PhD students.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will work on pioneering research in structured matter waves, developing novel mechanisms for their generation and measurement, and investigating the underlying physics. The position includes:
