Postdoctoral Researcher in Adaptation Genomics: Join our dynamic research team at the Bista lab (Meta-OMICS group) in Frankfurt am Main. We are seeking a talented and motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to our project on animal adaptation genomics, with a focus on understanding species adaptation to extreme environmental conditions using whole genome data. Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in Biology, Genomics, Bioinformatics, or a related field
- Strong interest and skills in comparative, population, or adaptation genomics
- Experience with analysis of large genomic and/or environmental datasets, Linux environment, and shell scripting
- Experience with long read data analysis, transposon, and gene family evolution is a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
Job Description:
The successful candidate will work on a project focusing on animal adaptation genomics using whole genome data. Key responsibilities include analyzing large genomic datasets, contributing to research publications, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team. Additionally, the candidate will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge laboratory and bioinformatics infrastructures and participate in the LOEWE TBG excellence center.
