Postdoctoral Researcher in Adaptation Genomics: Join our dynamic research team at the Bista lab (Meta-OMICS group) in Frankfurt am Main. We are seeking a talented and motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to our project on animal adaptation genomics, with a focus on understanding species adaptation to extreme environmental conditions using whole genome data. This position offers full-time or part-time options and provides an opportunity to work within an international research group at the forefront of environmental and comparative genomics.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Biology, Genomics, Bioinformatics, or a related field
  • Strong interest and skills in comparative, population, or adaptation genomics
  • Experience with analysis of large genomic and/or environmental datasets, Linux environment, and shell scripting
  • Experience with long read data analysis, transposon, and gene family evolution is a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

Job Description:
The successful candidate will work on a project focusing on animal adaptation genomics using whole genome data. Key responsibilities include analyzing large genomic datasets, contributing to research publications, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team. Additionally, the candidate will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge laboratory and bioinformatics infrastructures and participate in the LOEWE TBG excellence center.
