Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in relevant fields such as agricultural systems modeling, agricultural engineering, geoinformatics, spatial analysis, environmental systems engineering, operations research, bioeconomy systems analysis, or related disciplines.
- Strong quantitative and computational skills, with experience in Python programming and spatial data processing/GIS.
- Familiarity with optimization methods (MILP, MINLP) and agricultural systems preferred.
- Excellent written and spoken English; knowledge of French is appreciated but not mandatory.
Job Description
The postdoctoral researcher will:
- Develop a modular computational platform for agricultural biomass datasets.
- Integrate and harmonize agronomic, spatial, logistical, and pathway-related datasets using Python and GIS workflows.
- Support a PhD project dedicated to methodological development of key planning components.
- Design optimization models for biomass allocation, supply chain configuration, and regional scenario analysis.
- Contribute to representing environmental, techno-economic, policy, and social constraints within the decision-support framework.
- Assist in scientific publications, project reports, and presentations at national and international meetings.
