Eligibility/Qualification
Required Qualifications:
- PhD degree (or equivalent qualification) in Chemistry or a related field with relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in robotics and automatization in chemistry.
- Excellent written, spoken, and communication skills in English.
- High levels of participation in a collaborative team setting, self-motivation, time management skills, creativity, and sound judgment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possible experience with colloidal quantum dots.
Job Description
Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Conducting independent research in the field of automated and robotic synthesis.
- Performing research on perovskite quantum dots, building upon the Principal Investigator’s prior work.
- Contributing to teaching activities where applicable.
- Supervising and supporting undergraduate and Master students.
About the Group:
Dr. Quinten Akkerman’s group at LMU focuses on developing colloidal quantum dots, exploring various synthesis methods with in-situ spectroscopy to unravel the intricate chemistry driving the synthesis of these tiny light emitters. The group combines this with detailed studies of their optical properties to uncover exciting excitonic features of nanometer-sized semiconductors.
