Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in Chemical Engineering and Chemical Engineering Technology or a related field (obtained within the last 6 years).
- Expertise in liquid-phase fixed-bed adsorption experimentation.
- Familiarity with phase equilibria of complex mixtures, both experimentally and theoretically.
- Strong background in process design, simulation tools (e.g., Aspen Plus), process optimization, and TEA.
- Ability to work independently and possess coaching and leadership skills.
- High responsibility for project outcomes and laboratory safety.
- Excellent proficiency in English (written and spoken).
Job Description
- Spend at least 70% of your assignment on academic research.
- Develop hydroxycinnamic acids and high-value bio-aromatics separation and recovery processes from rapeseed meal biorefinery streams.
- Focus areas include:
- Hydroxycinnamic acid recovery from protein extract and (depolymerized) lignin stream.
- Identification of key bio-aromatic components for separation.
- Elucidation of thermodynamic behavior through simulations and experimental validation.
- Design of recovery processes for key bio-aromatics.
