Eligibility/Qualification: The successful candidate must hold a PhD degree in computational science including biology, bioinformatics, cheminformatics, computational (bio)chemistry, or biophysics. Proficiency in English communication is essential. Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, and familiarity with machine learning methods (PyTorch, TensorFlow), knowledge management, databases, and computational biochemistry or biophysics are required. Candidates should demonstrate a keen interest in innovative research at the intersection of computational and experimental enzymology.

Job Description: The selected candidate will work within the research group “Computational Chemistry” at the Department of Bioorganic Chemistry. They will collaborate closely with a software developer and an experimental Postdoc candidate to develop machine learning frameworks for enzymatic reactions. The role involves combining state-of-the-art machine learning methods with computational biochemistry techniques. The Postdoctoral Researcher will also have the opportunity to mentor PhD students.
