Eligibility/Qualification
- A doctoral degree in a relevant field or a foreign degree deemed equivalent.
- Degree completed no more than three years prior to the application deadline, with possible consideration for those with special grounds.
- Prior experience in analysis of next-generation sequencing data is highly desirable.
- Good programming skills and Linux/Unix experience required.
- Knowledge of Matlab or R is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in oral and written English.
- Publication of several articles in peer-reviewed journals is recommended.
Job Description
The postdoctoral researcher will:
- Develop computational methods for analyzing whole-genome sequencing and other NGS-based data.
- Design, implement, and maintain reproducible bioinformatics pipelines.
- Conduct statistical analyses and visualize data to interpret somatic mutational patterns and genomic alterations.
- Integrate genomic data with clinical and phenotypic variables when relevant.
- Contribute to manuscript writing and publications in international scientific journals.
- Present research findings at national and international conferences.
