Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD in ecology, evolutionary biology, or a closely related field
  • PhD completed no more than three years before the application deadline (exceptions apply for special grounds)
  • Demonstrated scientific writing ability in English
  • Experience in laboratory or quantitative methods is desirable
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • International research experience or participation in national/international networks is advantageous

Valuable Additional Qualifications:

  • Teaching awards or pedagogical training
  • Driver’s license
  • Swedish language skills
  • Experience with community engagement or science communication

Job Description

  • Lead and conduct independent and collaborative research
  • Engage in one of two main projects related to sexual dimorphism in evolutionary biology
  • Responsibilities include experimental design, data collection, analysis, and manuscript preparation
  • Present research at national and international conferences
  • Optional: Up to 20% teaching at bachelor’s or master’s level
  • Supervise student thesis projects if interested
  • Actively participate in the academic community at the department and university
