Postdoctoral Researcher in Brain Imaging: The Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences (NDCN) at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford is seeking a highly qualified Postdoctoral Researcher in Advanced Image Analysis for Brain Imaging. Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD/DPhil in a relevant quantitative area
  • Strong background in image analysis, statistics, and/or Bayesian learning
  • Proficient in computer programming (e.g., Matlab, Python, or C++)
  • Demonstrated experience in novel methods development and software
  • In-depth knowledge of image processing and statistics
  • Excellent mathematical and computational skills
  • Track record in research

Job Description: The successful candidate will join the FMRIB Analysis Group, a leading research group in brain image analysis, and contribute to the development and application of image processing algorithms for longitudinal data from UK Biobank brain imaging. Responsibilities include working on the next generation of FSL tools, collaborating with leading scientists, and contributing to the advancement of structural, functional, and diffusion MRI analysis. Salary: Grade 8: £45,558 – £54,395 per annum. A less experienced candidate may be appointed at Grade 7 (£36,024 – £44,263 p.a.) with a commensurate adjustment in selection criteria, responsibilities, duties, and job title.

Pay Scale: STANDARD GRADE 8
