Postdoctoral Researcher in Cancer Biology: The Laboratory of Tumor Biology at Masaryk University, Brno, Czechia, is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to explore synthetic lethal interactions of the mitochondrial integrated stress response (mitoISR) in MYC-driven tumors. This position offers an exciting opportunity to integrate mitochondrial and cancer biology to advance therapies for aggressive MYC-addicted tumors.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. in molecular/cell biology, biochemistry, or genetics, obtained within the last five years.
- Strong publication record, with at least two research articles in Q1/Q2 journals and one first-author paper within the last three years.
- Expertise in genetic manipulation methods. Experience in cancer biology or mitochondrial research is a plus.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and independent in addressing challenging scientific questions.
- Team-oriented with excellent communication skills and a positive mindset.
Job Description:
- Investigate the context-specific regulators and activities of mitoISR in relation to MYC oncoproteins.
- Utilize pharmacological and genetic approaches, including novel inducible MYC/MYCN models, to dissect mitoISR-mediated synthetic lethality.
- Collaborate with leading experts and strong international partners in the U.S. and EU.
- Work with a unique biobank of patient-derived tumor models and access state-of-the-art core facilities.
- Option to supervise students and contribute to professional development.
