Postdoctoral Researcher in Cartilage Repair: The DWI – Leibniz Institute for Interactive Materials is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher in the field of cartilage repair for the TriggerINK project. This role involves contributing to innovative research in bioprinting technologies aimed at enhancing cartilage healing.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD in Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in cartilage and cartilage repair.
  • Extensive experience in cell culture, cell imaging, and omics.
  • Experience with mesenchymal stem cells and chondrocytes is highly desired.
  • Experience in in vivo experiments and histology is a plus.
  • Expertise in material characterization (rheology) is a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

Job Description

ResponsibilitiesRequirements
Contribute expertise in cartilage repair to a multidisciplinary team.PhD in a relevant field.
Plan and conduct in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo studies.Several years of relevant experience.
Analyze and interpret data from confocal microscopy and histology.Experience with cell culture and imaging.
Mentor PhD students and provide expert feedback.Experience with mesenchymal stem cells is a plus.
Present research findings at conferences and publish in journals.Experience in in vivo experiments desirable.
Develop hydrogel ink for cartilage cell growth and assist with robotic arm development for bioprinting.Team-oriented and highly motivated.
