This position is part of a research project on nuclear protein quality control in neurodegeneration, funded by the National Science Centre, Poland.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Medicine, or equivalent field. Candidates with degrees in Engineering, Computer Science, and Physics will also be considered if they have relevant experience.
- Fulfillment of the competition requirements [refer to provided competition link].
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- High motivation with a proactive and collaborative attitude.
- Desirable (but not mandatory) experience in:
- CRISPR/Cas9-based high-throughput screening
- Cell culture methods (including human iPSC-derived neurons)
- Confocal microscopy
- Flow cytometry and cell sorting
Job Description:
As a Postdoctoral Researcher, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing a CRISPR/Cas9-based high-throughput screen to identify novel factors and pathways crucial for protein quality control maintenance in the mammalian nucleus.
- Utilizing cell culture methods, biochemical and molecular biology methods, flow cytometry, and confocal microscopy.
- Planning and conducting experiments, recording them in an electronic lab notebook, analyzing data, and regularly reporting results.
