Postdoctoral Researcher in Computational Biology: The Koplev lab at KTH School of Engineering Sciences in Chemistry, Biotechnology and Health is seeking an ambitious postdoctoral researcher in computational biology. Eligibility/Qualification

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree.
  • Substantial research expertise in computational biology methods for single-cell or spatial transcriptomics data.
  • Proven scientific excellence demonstrated by strong publications and a relevant track record.
  • Strong programming skills in Python or R, with familiarity in high-performance computing.
  • Exceptional collaborative abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A doctoral degree obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline.
  • Highly creative researcher with broad scientific curiosity.
  • Mastery of data visualization and scientific communication.
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant machine learning and AI techniques.
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently.
  • Teaching and mentorship abilities or interests in personal development.
  • Awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, particularly gender equality.

Job Description

The successful candidate will:

  • Pioneer research using single-cell and spatial transcriptomics data.
  • Develop and execute primary research projects in computational biology.
  • Publish research findings in academic journals and conferences.
  • Support and mentor less experienced students in achieving their research goals.
  • Participate in major international collaborations and consortia.
