Eligibility/Qualification:

Required:

  • Ph.D. in Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in electronic structure theory, specifically density functional theory
  • Strong scientific computing skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with machine learning for materials (e.g., GNNs, generative models)
  • Background in high-pressure materials, hydrides, or superconductivity
  • Familiarity with structure prediction tools (e.g., genetic algorithms)

Job Description:

The postdoctoral researcher will engage in research at the intersection of machine learning, materials theory, and high-pressure physics, focusing on:

  • Developing machine learning models for crystal structure and property prediction.
  • Implementing high-throughput workflows for hydrides and metastable phases.
  • Creating and benchmarking datasets for small-data environments.
  • Collaborating with both experimental and theoretical groups.
