Postdoctoral Researcher in Coral Biology/Ecology: The CNRS is seeking a dedicated and skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team focusing on the micro-fragmentation and restoration of coral species through the technical operation of a closed-loop aquaculture platform. Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Education: PhD in Marine Biology, Ecophysiology, Reef Ecology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1 to 4 years in coral culture, micro-fragmentation techniques, and marine organism handling.
  • Skills: Proficiency in water quality monitoring, data analysis (R/Python desirable), and ability to develop experimental protocols.
  • Language: Fluent in French.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Development of Experimental Protocols: Design and standardize protocols for coral micro-fragmentation, determining optimal culture conditions for laboratory growth.
  • Management of Technical Infrastructure: Oversee aquarist systems, ensuring reliability and maintaining water quality.
  • Scientific Monitoring: Document coral fragment growth, survival, and health while contributing to reintroduction plans at natural sites.
  • Data Management: Analyze data and develop informative dashboards.
  • Scientific Dissemination: Author technical reports and operational protocols and contribute to scientific publications.
