Postdoctoral Researcher in Denmark: The Department of Biology at Aarhus University, Denmark, is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to play a leading role in a project exploring the decline of pollinator species through molecular methods and sample types. The position is a 2-year, full-time role with opportunities for developing personal research ideas in collaboration with the group.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD degree or equivalent or submitted PhD thesis for assessment
- Interest in research topic of insect decline
- Scientific publishing and project management experience in molecular ecology and/or genomics
- Bioinformatics and statistical analysis experience with next-generation sequencing data
- Experience with R for ecological data analysis
- DNA laboratory work experience (preferably eDNA, historical samples, and/or ancient DNA)
- Field work experience
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily management of their research projects and will actively be involved in the training and co-supervision of other staff members and students. The candidate will become part of the environmental DNA group led by Associate Professor Philip Francis Thomsen and have the opportunity to collaborate with other researchers within and outside Aarhus University.
