Postdoctoral Researcher in Electrochemical Biosensor: The University of Oulu is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join a multidisciplinary team led by Dr. Feixiong Chen in the Faculty of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine. The successful candidate will be involved in the development of novel electrochemical biosensing and microfluidic chip technology for healthcare diagnostics.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Doctoral degree in a relevant field, preferably in Life Engineering
  • Strong background in nanofabrication, microfluidic chip, and electrochemical sensors
  • Experience in magnetophoretic chip and magnetophoresis is considered a plus
  • Familiarity with microfluidic techniques in bio-nano interaction and cells sorting
  • Proficiency in top-down and bottom-up fabrication methods, experimental optics and/or electronics, and clean room technologies
  • Ability to be involved in lab management, including procurement activities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary research environment

Job Description:
The selected applicant will be responsible for:

  1. Designing and fabricating microfluidic chip and Microelectrode array
  2. Utilizing microfluidic techniques in bio-nano interaction and cells sorting, as well as experience in magnetophoretic chip and magnetophoresis
  3. Employing top-down fabrication approaches and clean room technologies for microelectrode array development
  4. Involvement in lab management, including procurement of necessary materials and equipment
