Eligibility/Qualification
- Education: PhD in Materials Science or related field with expertise in electroactive ceramics or polymers.
- Experience and Skills:
- Proficient in ferroelectric materials characterization techniques.
- Knowledgeable in electronics for piezoelectric energy harvesters.
- Experienced in finite element modeling (COMSOL) and electronic circuit simulation (LTSpice).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Motivated to work collaboratively with industrial partners.
- Language: Proficient in written and spoken English (C1 advanced).
Job Description
The successful candidate will contribute to the “Tire as a Sensor” Strategic Research Program, focusing on:
- Fabrication of piezoelectric energy harvesters based on ceramics (PZT).
- Investigation of geometries for efficient strain transfer from tires to the ceramic materials.
- Development and adaptation of signal conditioning electronics.
- Integration and testing of harvesters in operational tires.
- Conducting literature reviews, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and presenting research at conferences.
