Eligibility/Qualification

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree or equivalent foreign degree.
  • Documented research expertise and ability to publish in international scientific journals.
  • Strong background in:

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Vehicle Engineering
  • Data Science
  • Machine Learning
  • Strong programming skills in Python or MATLAB.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

Job Description

The postdoctoral researcher will engage in independent research focusing on cyclist speed modeling, contributing to project development, and collaborating with public partners, fellow researchers, and students. Key tasks include:

  • Developing a model for cyclist performance indices (travel time, average bicycle speed, and energy expenditure).
  • Conducting numerical analysis and experimental validation.
  • Publishing findings in international scientific journals.
  • Analyzing energy expenditure to optimize transportation systems for cyclists.
