Postdoctoral Researcher in Epigenetics and Bioinformatics: The newly established Developmental Epigenetics and Bioinformatics Laboratory at the University of South Bohemia in Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic, is seeking an enthusiastic postdoc to explore the secrets of long-term oocyte and ovarian quality in long-lived African mole-rats and other non-model rodents. The position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to pioneering mole-rat developmental and reproductive biology at the molecular level, using state-of-the-art sequencing and imaging approaches.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Ph.D. in developmental or molecular biology (within 7 years, excluding parental leave)
  • Previous experience in technique development or establishment in non-model species (advantageous)
  • Previous experience in germ cell and embryonic development (advantageous)
  • Previous experience in oocyte or embryo culture (advantageous)

Job Description:

Postdoctoral Researcher in Developmental Epigenetics and Bioinformatics

The postdoc will:

  • Investigate long-term oocyte and ovarian quality in African mole-rats and non-model rodents.
  • Pioneer developmental and reproductive biology of mole-rats at the molecular level.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art sequencing and imaging techniques.
  • Collaborate with international partners.
  • Shape the field of reproductive and developmental biology of long-lived mammals.
