Postdoctoral Researcher in Ecology and Evolutionary Biologyded by the Academy of Finland, exploring the interplay between predator gut microbiome, diet, and behavior in avian predators.

Research Area: Ecology and Evolutionary Biology
Location: University of Jyväskylä, Finland
Eligibility/Qualification: PhD in microbiology, molecular biology, evolutionary biology, or related fields. Strong background in microbiome research, laboratory analysis, bioinformatics, and interest in species interactions and predator-prey coevolution required. Fluent in English.

Job Description: The Postdoctoral Researcher will develop an in vitro microcosm system using the great tit gut microbiome, conduct controlled experiments to study the impact of prey toxins on gut microbiome composition, perform bioinformatics analyses of 16s rRNA sequencing data, contribute to manuscript preparation, and supervise students.
