Eligibility/Qualification:
- A PhD in a relevant field (e.g., biology, biochemistry, or cellular biology)
- Expertise in experimental cell-biology, islet biology, and CRISPR-Cas-mediated genetic editing in stem cells is preferred.
- Experience in stem cell-derived islet generation, single-cell transcriptomics, and bioinformatics is advantageous but optional.
- Must be willing to reside in Finland during the employment period.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will:
- Conduct experiments to investigate beta cell death mechanisms in type 1 diabetes.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team within the STEMM Research Program.
- Participate in the publication of research findings.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and objectives.
- Contribute to the overall research goals and support the academic mission of the Faculty of Medicine.
